任务 and Purpose

Colorado College is committed to creating an environment that is safe and conducive to learning, 生活, and working. This includes fostering a community free from discrimination and harassment through both a focus on education and prevention and through fair and effective implementation of policies which prohibit discrimination and harassment. This work includes conducting investigations and adjudications of, or otherwise resolving, complaints of discrimination or harassment on the basis of any characteristic protected by institutional policy or 状态, 当地的, or federal law. Nondiscrimination Statement

Colorado College does not discriminate in its treatment, 访问, admissions to, or 就业 in the administration of its educational programs, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletics programs, 就业, or in any other College programs or activities on the basis of race, color, national origin, 性, 性ual orientation, marital status, 性别, 性别 identity, 性别 expression, 年龄, 残疾, genetic information, veteran status, or any other status protected by federal, 状态, or 当地的 law.

The College has instituted policies and certain procedures to ensure a safe environment free of unlawful discrimination, harassment or retaliation and to meet legal requirements of 第九条 of the Education Amendments of 1972, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, and other federal, 状态, and 当地的 laws.

Any student or employee who believes they have been a target of unlawful discrimination or harassment, as defined in the College’s policies, or who has witnessed such unlawful discrimination or harassment, must immediately report it to the 第九条 Coordinator or file a report. The College will promptly investigate the matter and take appropriate corrective action when necessary. Complaints concerning 性ual harassment and inappropriate 性ual conduct will be handled through the procedures outlined in the College’s 第九条 Sexual Harassment Grievance Procedures. All other complaints of discrimination will be handled through the procedures outlined in the College’s Nondiscrimination and Anti-Harassment 政策 and Procedures. Your complaint will be kept as confidential as practicable. The College prohibits retaliation against any individual for filing a complaint or assisting in a complaint investigation. If you perceive retaliation for making a complaint or your participation in the investigation, please report the incident to any of the individuals listed below.

The College will provide qualified persons with disabilities with reasonable accommodations that does not pose an undue burden on the College.
